Each member of our sales and trading team is expected to represent clients across multiple geographies, in some cases with a bias to industry-specific specialization. This allows each of our capital market professionals to provide the best coverage to our clients in all geographies, in markets increasingly driven by global capital flows.
With approximately 50% of our commissions generated from international clients, our capital market professionals are in regular contact with all of our international clients. We do this through frequent company and analyst road shows, as well as conferences in cities such as New York and London.
We measure our capital markets success based on our trading market share in our universe of companies within our sectors of specialization, not the broader market. Concentrating both our human and financial capital on specific segments of the market allows us to provide the best execution for our institutional clients.
